Figuring Light: Colour and the Intangible, an exhibition curated for the Djanogly Art Gallery, Nottingham, by Dr. Richard Davey, which brought together four artists - Duncan Bullen, Jane Bustin, Rebecca Partridge, and Richard Kenton Webb - who each are making a distinctive contribution to the exploration of colour and its capacity to connect us with sensations or experience which lie beyond ordinary sensory perception. Bullen contributed eight drawings for the exhibition and the accompanying publication contains a forward by Professor Judith Mottram and an essay by Davey, as well as ‘Colour Conversations’ between each of the four artists and Davey. Further drawings from the series were exhibited in ‘From Art School to University, Art and Design at Brighton 1859-2009’, University of Brighton
