Fur's flying (aka Pelting Down)

Abstract

A shorter version of this article – titled Pelting Down – was published in selvedge magazine (UK), Issue 8, Nov/Dec 2005, pp.20-21 (ISSN:1742-254X). This text has subsequently formed the basis for extended papers presented at the IFFTI conference (London College of Fashion, April 2009), published in Textile: the Journal of Cloth and Culture (2008), and developed as a chapter for Catherine Harper’s second book Fabrics of Design (Berg, 2010).
